Providers using Compulink's electronic prescribing (controlled or non-controlled substances) are required to perform the Identify Proofing process.

There are two Identity Proofing processes to choose from:

Option 1 - Non-Controlled Substances ONLY

Select the $59 IGC Basic Software 1-Year Certificate
Perform the identity proofing process only. Upon completion of this process, you will have a digital certificate that will be stored on your computer. You will not need to purchase a USB token. To complete your identity proofing you will need to provide your name, address, phone number, date of birth, Social Security number, a credit card number in your name, and your driver's license. It takes about a week from the time you complete the process on this site to the time you receive your approval letter in the mail.

Option 2 - EPCS - Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (also includes non-controlled substances)

Select the $109 IGC Basic Unaffiliated Hardware 2-Year Certificate on USB Token
Perform the identity proofing process along with purchasing a USB token and digital certificate. The USB token must be used for a provider to digitally sign and transmit a controlled substance prescriptions electronically. Select the $109 IGC Basic two year certificate below. You will also be prompted during the process to purchase a USB token (this is a onetime purchase) Please note, purchase the USB token, and do not purchase the Smart Card or Hybrid Token.

Please note: ONLY THE SUBSCRIBER OF THE CERTIFICATE SHOULD HAVE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THEIR TOKEN - THE DIGITAL CERTIFICATE IS YOUR FORM OF IDENTIFICATION, SIMILAR TO YOUR PASSPORT OR DRIVER’S LICENSE. Under the IGC Certificate Policy, it is our responsibility as an Authorized Certification Authority to revoke the certificate in a case of loss or disclosure of the private key (Password) to anyone other than the subscriber.

IdenTrust Global Common Certificates (IGC)

IdenTrust Global Common (IGC) digital certificates are cross-certified with the U.S. Federal Bridge Certification Authority, enabling trust and interoperability with a wide range of systems and applications. Each individual IGC Certificate includes both a certificate for authentication/digital signing and a certificate for encryption.
