ECA Certificate Chain Manual Installation
Before you can use your IdenTrust ECA digital Certificates, the IdenTrust ECA Subordinate and ECA Root Certificate must be installed in your browser. This process is performed automatically during the retrieval of the certificate.
Steps to install only the IdenTrust Subordinate CA Certificate
Download the IdenTrust ECA Subordinate CA Certificate file
- Click on the ECA Subordinate Certificate link.
- For Microsoft® Edge, click Open. This action will open the Certificate window.
- For Firefox, select Save, then click OK. This action will save the subordinate CA file to the default download folder.
Install the IdenTrust ECA Subordinate CA Certificate for Microsoft® Edge
- Click Install Certificate. This action will open the Certificate Import Wizard
- Click Next.
- Select Automatically select the certificate store...
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Click OK.
- The Certificate import is complete!
Install the IdenTrust ECA Subordinate CA Certificate for Firefox
- Open Firefox and select Tools from the menu bar at the top (if no menu bar is present press the left Alt key on your keyboard)
- Select Options from the tools menu.
- Go to the Advanced tab, Select the Certificates sub-tab and click View Certificates
- Under the Authorities Tab click Import
- This will open a Browse window. Navigate to the default download folder,
- In the bottom right hand corner find the Certificate Files dropdown and change it to All files
- Select the identrusteca4.cer file and click open.
- In the Downloading certificate window check all three checkboxes and then click OK. Your IdenTrust ECA 4 subordinate certificate is now installed.
- The Certificate import is complete!
Steps to install the ECA Root CA Certificate and the IdenTrust Subordinate CA Certificate for Microsoft® Edge only
Visit the DISA website to download the InstallRoot application that automatically installs both certificates.
